Awesome time and got a great spot in the shade. Only picked one winning race but had lots of fun! Great family atmosphere.
Fun place to take the family on the weekend! Lively atmosphere and everyone you meet is extremely nice! I have no experience in betting on horses but many times strangers helped out so I could understand how it works! The races last almost all day and you definitely get your money's worth of entertainment!
Grew up in Chicago and now visit often, but this was my first time. I'm not into horse racing and came for a work outing. It was nice, we had dinner at Silks. For was decent. Place was clean and staff were nice. There overall vibe is that this place has seen it's heyday. Also, bring cash since you can't pay with credit or debit.
Can't wait for gaming here...and sports betting. Are we going to see the return of free admission? I sure hope so. Never understood why I have to pay to go gamble. But super fun, so suck it up.
Arlington International is the best kept secret in Chicago. The park is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. The staff that work there are extremely friendly and professional. The facility is always immaculately kept up. Weather it is rainy or sunny, Arlington is spacious enough to house everyone inside if it rains. The food is very good and the beverages are reasonably priced. Now, that legalized sports betting has been passed, I am sure that Arlington will be able to FINALLY get what they have wanted all along...a gambling venue ON SITE. This will allow the track to have larger purses and attract more owners to participate in races. A true win/win for all involved. Finally, a Governor that cares about the survival of such a landmark sports venue!
