Benkei Japanese Tonkotsu Ramen restaurant

Fantastic Japanese restaurant located in Palatine. Very authentic cusine. Specialty is Ramen with choices of styles and spice levels. Japanese beer available in bottles and draft. Good side menu as well including tako wasabi and mentaiko. Highly recommended if looking for an authentic ramen restaurant.

An amazing bowl of Ramen. This is my fourth time here and it gets better every time. This is their miso Cha shu for two dollars extra, you get 5 pieces of pork instead of just one. The pork is the best I have had, it is so good. The noodles are perfect and just the right bite. The wilted cooked cabbage is not to crunchy and i really enjoyed the added texture on the bite. The egg was smooth and flavorful, not a salt bomb, and the soup warmed everything just right. The pork melted in my mouth with such an amazing flavor. I had a delicious lunch, you should do the same.

Fantastic ramen. Gyoza and salad. New place so still working out the kinks, but really good food. Edited to add. The restrooms are remarkably clean!

Very nice place. The restaurant itself is bigger than most of the ramen places in a 15 mile radius!
The flavor was really rich. I ordered the Benkei Miso Ramen and was really good! I had plenty of meat. I wish my eggs were softer other wise all great!
Customer service was very good.
Prices are very competitive! Around $12 for a giant bowl of Miso Ramen.

They also have a vegetable Ramen option!

I highly recommend this place! I will be coming back!
