Sweet Basil Cafe of Palatine

First time trying, had breakfast selection. Portions are huge, could not finish omelette. They offer American fries which were nice and crispy. Pancakes were good. Menu selection was large and staff friendly. Will go back again.

Food was great! The service not so much. My dad ordered something that he didn't get. He asked for it 2 times and still never got it. We then asked for it to be taken off the bill. The server said ok but never apologized for not bringing it. I thought maybe she didn't hear so we confirmed that she was going to take it off. She said yes she heard and still did not apologize. This was brought to the attention of the manager who sincerely apologized and offered to compensate my dad's entire meal. The manager was such a sweetheart and very appreciative that we brought it to her attention. I would have given 3 stars since the food was good. The manager was what bumped it up to 4 stars. I'll try this place again and hopefully things will improve.

This place is truly magical, like seriously, its not a restaurant it’s a building of witches trying to fatten you up Hansel and Gretel style... but the food is so good that I don’t actually mind and neither will you

Portion sizes are great, orange juice is impeccable, food quality is above average. Slight delay for assistance; however, this is a new place that gets pack and that is reasonably expected. My girlfriend's meal was "okay" and prices can get slightly high. Staff is excellent. Tony is a great staff member. He is there 7 days a week so ask for him if you're looking for great service!
