Kritunga Indian Restaurant, Illinois

We went for dinner and had pay's soup. Spice and nice. We had mushroom pepper fry, chicken tongues roast, Veg/ raagi Sankati, royals Seema chicken curry. Everything was nice. Watch out for spice level. Even mild could be spicy.

We were excited to try Kritunga after hearing alot of good reviews from friends; and happy to say the food and dine-in experience definitely lived up to our expectations. We ordered the crispy corn and fish pakora for starters- both were excellent. The corn and fish was well seasoned and fried perfectly. Our kids devoured those dishes quickly. We then had the chicken cheekulu which was delicious, Rayalseema chicken curry and ragi sankati which we had for the first time and was really tasty. Very happy to have authentic Andhra style dishes in Chicago suburb area. The restaurant was also very clean and had a lot of room between diners which was a plus. We will definitely be dining here again soon and looking forward to trying other dishes.

The ambience was neat. Their food was really spicy. Their food background was from areas where they prefer spice. I would strongly suggest this place for spice lovers. Their food was tasty. Their Ragi sankati and millet rice sankati was the best. I literally felt like I am eating food from the spicy southern Indian region. Panneer pakora was crispy and tasty. Rasmalai was amazing.

We went to have dinner and ordered chicken chikkulu, crispy corn and kritunga special chicken biryani. Both the starters were good. Biryani was not up to the mark. But compared to few other restaurants, it was ok. The ambience is good. The waiting time to get ordered dishes onto the table was more. Looking forward to trying more dishes here.

I visited this restaurant for first time . We ordered mushroom fry it’s the best we had on spicy levels and taste . Next we ordered ragisankati and natukodi it’s not that good taste it’s very oily in curry . Chicken biryani where the taste is average since it has also very oily and less quantity . It’s almost took around 60$ but overall not satisfied. Due to excessive oil the food taste completely changed . We gave the same suggestion to the owners about the taste of food. Even with little high prices if taste is good all other things doesn’t matter . If you never been to this restaurant you can try it once .
