I have been a customer of Panera for years. I tried calling in my order. I was disconnected 3 times. Drove to the store and talked to the manager who informed me their phones have been out for over a week! Who can run a business like that? Anyway, upon ordering, they didn't have the bread needed for the sandwich i ordered . While waiting. .noticed it is ~$10 for a sandwich now! REALLY!! I haven't been to Panera in a while...but left, less than impressed.
My wife warned me, but I didn't listen. The first $10 ham sandwich and chips left me hungry and frankly feeling scammed and I'm a small guy. Light on the meat and virtually nothing on it. We were still waiting for someone so I went back and ordered a turkey chili which turned out to be a hearty serving with double the amount of food for less. Granted I spent too much, but I was full. The inconsistency in pricing and food quantity/quality frankly left me confused. I doubt I would return.
Panera is always a great choice. My son was so happy to see that the broccoli-cheddar soup was available for his bread bowl...as last time they weren't able to get the soup up to the proper 165 degree` in order to serve!
He was looking forward to it all week!
