Savory Plate

We had been to a party on Saturday and the food served was catered by Savory Plate. The items were made to order. I specifically loved the veg pulao, raita, chana, lamb curry and daal. So, we decided to go for dine in at Savory Plate on 71 S Milwaukee Avenue in Wheeling on Sunday.

The place is clean and spacious. The manager/owner is super friendly. She welcomed us with a big smile. I was super hungry, but she warned it was going to take 15-20 minutes for the Tandoori Chicken to be ready! Everything freshly cooked and you can order in advance.

Tandoori Chicken (5/5): Topped with raw onion rings, cucumber slices cilantro and a couple pieces of lime was amazing.

Chicken Biriyani (5/5): The perfectly cooked chicken biriyani with their secret house seasoning topped with fried golden onions was absolutely divine.

Savory Platter (4.5): Aromatic rice, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tim’s and tandoor cooked Malai Kabob, was absolutely fantastic with one of the owner’s secret sauces! It was a savory plate indeed.

Chicken Lollipops (5/5): My husband loved the chicken lollipops with special blend of sweet and delicious house sauce!

Chicken Enchiladas (4.5/5): Were tasty but would have been even better with a little extra sauce.

I will keep going back to try more!

Great fusion restaurant with choices from Asian, middle eastern and Mexican cuisine to delight every palate. We ordered a bit of everything and was fantastic. Quite impressed with the quality, taste of food, reasonable prices and friendly staff. We would be back again and definitely recommend Savory Plate to friends and family.
