This is the best place in dekalb for fish and chips. For just over 8 bucks with tax you get a pile of fries and 3 pieces of perfectly fried cod. I’ve come for the fish like once a week since I discovered it. They call it the “fish dinner”. Highly recommended. I don’t know about the other food, but if you fiend for fish and chips like I do, this is your spot.
I ordered a Large Gyro and it was good. The staff was friendly despite being busy and the service was quick. Will eat there again sometime!
The food is decent, but nothing great. It was about $6.50 for a hot dog, small fries, and a small drink. The fries are good, but the hot dog was meh.
The service definitely needs to be better. I came in at about 6:20 PM and there was no line. I was looking at the menu and waited for the cashier, Jill, to acknowledge me. She was talking to her coworkers and occasionally glanced at me, but didn't say anything to me for a solid minute. It was my first time here and I definitely looked confused, but Jill never asked if I had any questions. A few people came in behind me and then she finally called me over. I asked for the 2 Hot Dogs meal Chicago style with no tomatoes. She rang up just the 1 Hot Dog meal. My Chicago dog had ketchup on it and no sports peppers. I asked for sports peppers and the cook seemed a bit annoyed when he tossed the peppers in a small container to another counter guy. This counter guy seemed nice, don't know his name though.
To sum up, it's a cheap hot-dog-and-fries place with sub-par service. I've been to plenty of hot dog places like this that are way better simply because the people working there are friendly, accurate, and attentive. I'm not coming back, but I hope this place develops its service to a higher standard.
Here out of town the guy at the parts store recommended this place, so glad he did. It's a small family feeling type of atmosphere, clean well kept, the cashier's were extremely friendly and patient. The best part was the food! Amazing well priced and very filling.
Not the best place in town to eat but they close super late and they serve good gyros! It comes with a filling pita, lots of onions, tomatoes and a nice yogurt on top! Enjoy it while you’re visiting there. The staff are nice and do their best to prepare the meals super quick. I like their Chicago style hot dogs as well.
