So, the first time we stopped in we were on the way home and running late so we stopped in and had a couple burgers. They were great and so big we took some home for lunch the next day.
Move forward a couple months and we had a meeting nearby that was when we usually have dinner. Everyone was raving about the fried chicken the first time so we figured to go try it. The plan went out the window when we saw the special of the day. Meatloaf with potatoes and veggies. It looked good as we walked past a table. We ordered it ad found despite it being fairly early we got the last 2 pieces, or make that 4 as each serving was 2 big slices.
Another plan, to save some for lunch went away almost as fast as dinner. We still have to go back and try the chicken. But, I hear the fish is good too. Maybe 2 more trips are in order.
Excellent food. Can't pass up their daily specials. Today was pulled pork sandwich. Very tasty. Sweet and tangy sauce. Never had anything I did not like here. And the staff is always so nice. Makes you feel like you're at their home in their dining room.
A very nice place. I stopped there with out of state guests, from Denver. Even though this was the first time we had been there, we were welcomed like we were old friends. We were told about all the different dishes, that were homemade by the lady (owners wife?) that was telling us about them. All of our food was very good and the country fried chicken is worth the 25 minute wait, it takes to prepare. Our server was also very nice. The owner made sure to stop by our table, before we left and was very gracious. We all had a very pleasant time and the man playing Christmas songs on the keyboard, added to the charm of this place.
I stopped in quick before an appointment and catch the end of the Bears game. The bar was full. One of the bartenders caught me right away, took my order, and asked my name, and introduced himself as Bryan. Really? Very cool. 20 minutes later came to my table, remembered my name and asked how I was doing. I wish every business owner treated their customers like Bryan did. Thanks Bryan for awesome service. Oh and as I was leaving, someone was making something that smelled like chocolate chip cookies. Nice!
I love this place! The food is exceptional, pricing is very fair. They always have inviting daily specials. The service is quick and efficient. The owners Bryan and Victoria are always there greeting their guests making sure everything is under control, lovely people. Thank you for providing a nice family friendly neighborhood restaurant that is close to home!
