Mai Thai Cafe

There’s many Thai places in Wheaton and they are all great. Mai Thai is good for a quick lunch. The people know what they are cooking, so you can expect an authentic meal. I’ll be coming back as long as they are open. The owner is usually there himself so take your order. Not the best in terms of indoor ambience but the food is amazing

You wouldn't think anything would work because it is so insane behind the counter, but you will get your food in 20 minutes or less if it's not understaffed. One thing I might put out there is that closing time is an imprecise concept here, but the food is worth calling ahead and being on time.

Amazing little place! Family-run, authentic and delicious. Parking directly in front of the store is limited, but there’s usually plenty of parking nearby if you look for it and don’t mind walking a block or two. Always a go-to for me and my boyfriend—and they have plenty of spice level options, which makes us both happy. My favorite is the curry fried rice with chicken, but the Pad Thai and basil fried rice are also terrific! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Food was very fresh. But being a vegetarian I wish they had to be that one of the dish i ordered had oyster sauce and the other dish we ordered was vegetarian but was very very spicy. Rest of the family enjoyed the meal.

I've been here multiple times and I have enjoyed the food every time. My favorite dish is the Rama stir fry, the peanut sauce is delicious. They can prepare the dish at different heat levels depending on your taste, but the hot is hot, so be warned. The food is not served to you, but the food it is prepared quickly and it's fresh. If you like Thai food or would like to try it for the first time, I would highly recommend this place.
