Been here multiple times. First time eating though and I was not disappointed. The fish fry was really good as well as the Buffalo chicken pizza.

Great service, good food. Tap beer selection is great and the daily specials are a nice touch. The brownie bottom pie is phenomenal! I love being able to get more than just bar food, too. Wraps are very tasty, chicken breast is cooked properly, and the steamed broccoli is the perfect texture, although I do wish they would season it. Overall a good choice for an easy meal at a good price.

The food is good but we have been there 4 times and the service was lacking all but once. The server will say hi grab a drink order and then go and stand by the bar with the other servers and staff hanging out. It was 15 minutes before we were able to order our appetizer and food and the place was not busy. This was a same thing we experienced the last time we were there. I’ve worked in the restaurant and customer service for a long time and just feel like these are things that aren’t the end of the world but enough that I’m not going back.

I went out with a small group on a Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday. First, we went to a 90 minute show at the Comedy Shrine. The show was excellent, and I definitely recommend going.

After the show, we were looking for somewhere nearby to go and have a drink. Well, another drink, really. The Bulldog Alehouse came up, right across the street and with good reviews.

I can now say that the good reviews are true. It has a very friendly, welcoming vibe. There's music playing, but it's not overwhelmingly loud. (And I'm extremely sensitive to that sort of thing.) You can actually talk without having to make yourself hoarse. The same with the lighting - it's just right. Well-lit but not too bright around the bar, and dimmed but not dark around it.

So the bar itself is nice, but the people make it just about perfect. Unlike too many other places, people actually move around and talk to people other than those they knew. The service is pleasant and attentive without being pushy. We thoroughly enjoyed being there, and will almost certainly be back!

Everyone in my group liked their food. The sweet potato fries were great. My burger could have been a bit spicier, but perhaps that was just me and my love for anything and everything hot. Service was good. Recommended.
