    It's been hard to locate really good Tex-Mex food in the western 'burbs, but this is a solid a choice as I think you'll find. While the entrees are solid, I have yet to find a can't miss item that is not to be overlooked. It's good grub, but of the B to B+ variety.

    HOWEVER, the biggest make or break for me for any self-respecting Mexican joint is a really tasty, well prepared salsa, and that is what sets Front Street apart. Theirs is the best around. None of that blenderized, ketchup-consistency stuff that WAAAAAY too many places around here serve. Nope, chunky and spicy . . . The kind you bring home by the quart for parties, game day, and the like . . . and disappears fast.

    I was fonder of the genuine article facility in Wheaton, but, alas, it is no longer.

    They serve a nice salsa. I had the chicken flautas and they were cooked properly. Reasonably priced too.

    My wife and I love Front Street! We go there about one a week for lunch (kind of a mini weekly date). They have great food and great service!

    The ambiance, decor and drinks make it a fun place to bring friends. I had the chance to talk to the owner this summer and he was so happy to redo the paint colors and revamp the restaurant. Cook and chefs are the same which is great and with the new renovation, I am happy to see this place grow in the future
