Bistro Manila is a family-owned turo-turo spot for traditional and fusion Filipino food. They also have some ala carte options if you want to call and order ahead. This restaurant replaced my previous go-to Mesa Manila. Miguel and Ate Tess still man the place and they are always friendly and most accommodating. They have only been open a couple of weeks and the menu has been different everyday so I can't comment on consistency but I do have my favorites - patatim, pancit luglug, beef teriyaki, pork picadillo and leche flan. I would not say the dishes taste homemade. They are rather of restaurant quality, with carefully prepared fresh ingredients and distinct flavors. They also have pastries and rice cakes that are worth a try.... P.S. They usually have halo-halo, you just need to ask.
