Went in for takeout for their Friday fish fry. Delicious! Great proportions of food. Beautiful place, great customer service. Attentive and recommended!

Coming here has always been an experience. Whether I'm spending some time at the very lively bar during a game, or having a dinner in the restaurant I always leaving happier than I arrive. The menu has so many delicious options that trying and picking a new item to eat, I've never felt like I could have ordered something I knew I like, or compromise. The staff is uniquely friendly and really get to know you.

My recent dining experience has been during a mild snow storm early evening with my loved one. We sat next to a roaring fire overlooking a beautiful terrace covered in snow. The best part was it felt like a TRULY great meal not just because my roast duck dripped with a uniquely complex glaze with a touch of sweetness, or the fresh hot fries covered in cheese and served with a spicy aioli, or even the stunning desserts lit aflame made of fresh cream and rich Brandy. This meal was great, because I knew that the food was amazing.

Its amazing when I can just go somewhere now a days, where anything can happen. My car could break down, I could get really bad news about a family member, or just an off day. I could be in the worst mood possible and I wouldn't want to talk to anyone. But I'll always come here and eat. Because I can know without a doubt in my mind, that I'll always have a meal I'll love. I'll always smile at the people who work there and treat you like family. I'll never feel bad when I get the bill and I can focus on the things that matter. It's one less thing to worry about and I'll always love coming here.

Great food. The Barry Burger is to die for. Personable staff. Love the Pork Loin and Duck! Wonderful ambiance. A hidden gem!

Mack's is always a solid choice. The food is reliably good and the portions are generous. The French Onion soup is fantastic! All of the salad dressings are house made and very tasty. The decor makes you feel like you're in a lodge somewhere rather than near one of the busiest intersections in Illinois! The outdoor patio in back is very charming. It definitely has a family owned feel to it and the service is always friendly. We always have a good experience at Mack's.

Met friends for lunch. Has old quaint look and ambiance with huge old time fireplace with white table cloth tables. Great service very attentive and nice to talk with. The food is amazing and reminds you of grandma's cooking. I had baked french onion soup and a California chicken wrap. Huge portions yet delicious. Very warm and inviting place. Great to bring family there.
