Maharaj Indian Grill

Had the Maharaj Dinner special for two and it came out perfectly! Went in during lunch and only had to wait 15-20 minutes for our meal complete with all the sides and dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would recommend as a great place to bring friends and family.

Good Indian restaurant in downtown Elmhurst. It is catering to both Americans and Indians. Tell them the spice level ahead of time.
Chicken Tikka and chicken fried rice were nice and spicy.
They didn't have one section with AC for sometime when we went.
The seating there is cramped and a little noisy when full.

This is a great place to get delicious Indian food in the Chicago area. Healthy and very authentic cuisine and a classy style. Portions in the combos are perfect for one person. And staff are very friendly!!

Delicious food and 1st class service. A true experience. Such kind, hospitable , and friendly people. You'll start with some crisped pappadam served with mint and tamarin sauce. Tandoori chicken was spicy and flavorful. Lamb Curry is FANTASTIC and my new favorite dish over aromatic basmati rice. The black lentils are really something incredibly special here as well.

It was my first time here. Stopped in for lunch and was satisfied. The food was very tasty, and the service was excellent. The restaurant itself was extremely clean and organized. Being Indian, I have been eating Indian food my entire life. This definitely was not the best food I’ve ever had, but I was pleasantly surprised. My biggest criticism was that the rice and butter chicken seemed to be missing salt. This is a very minor criticism, because it still tasted really good, and there was a salt shaker at the table so I managed. The portions seemed pretty large and I left satisfied. Will definitely be back! Their lunch specials are definitely worth the money
