Honey Berry Pancakes and Cafe

I was so excited to try this place because it’s new and I’ve been receiving coupons for it in the mail and the food looked delicious. We ordered the Cereal Killer french toast and the Southwest omelet. The omelet was delicious but I wasn’t happy with my french toast at all. I’ve had amazing fruity pebbles french toast before so I was highly looking forward to trying it here but it wasn’t at all what I was expecting. Apparently they don’t use egg batter so you just get a dry thick slice of fried bread covered in fruity pebbles and a glaze - not your traditional fluffy egg battered French toast, which I thought was very strange because french toast IS bread coated in egg and milk that is fried. Don’t call it french toast if it isn’t actually french toast and you’re not using egg batter. I let the server know it tasted weird and dry (I didn’t realize eggs weren’t used to make it until the server asked the chef why it was dry and then told me). They tried to steam it to make it moist but it was still gross and the server was nice enough to take 50% of the cost off the bill. I wouldn’t recommend their french toast but I’m willing to give their other items a chance.

Great tasting food, loved the airy feel of the place, the ambiance. The wait staff got my order wrong twice, i figured because she was still new. I ordered the red velvet pancakes; they were delicious without syrup.

The staff and management are super friendly and accommodating. The food quality does not reflect the prices they charge. The food is average at best, but the prices are too high. I know that being inside a mall plays a big role in their prices. They need to improve the kitchen fast if they want to stay open. They made a lot of mistakes in our order, and that's not acceptable. I know they just recently opened up, but if they keep this up, it's going to be hard for them to stay open. The decor is awkward too, it reminds me of a ladies salon. It's all white with some yellow booths.

The food here was really good. The portion sizes were perfect. It's very bright and cheerful in there. The service was great. Nice and quick and very attentive.
