We absolutely love the feel of the family meal here! The atmosphere is warm, people are friendly, food is like southern home cooking! You can have biscuits, cornbread, or sourdough bread with every meal. The wait staff is top notch! While waiting the kids can play a game of checkers in front of the fireplace sitting in rocking chairs. After your meal, shop their unique store for old-fashioned toys, home decor, and beautiful clothing, including plus size! In addition, take home a rocking chair to sit on your front porch to remember your family visits!!
This place is meant to feel like you're having a home cooked meal back out at grandma's with your family. To their credit, they do capture some of that farm food nostalgia. It is really good food, and the portion sizes are enormous. What really impressed was the speed. We had all five of our meals out to us within 10 minutes. I've waited longer at McDonald's. The store as you leave also has lots of neat stuff.
Kristen was our server, very efficient. We had the new fried chicken and ham. We greatly appreciate your RV parking as we were pulling our large 5th wheel camper. Our meal was enjoyable. I would add that I actually read the menu, and when I realized how expensive your iced tea was I chose water instead. Seniors on a budget, you know. Overall a nice half hour stop on a travel day.
