Firefly Grill

Stopped here after seeing articles and reviews on our way back to Chicago from Orlando. Right off 57 and easy to visit. It lived up to the hype. Delicious food. Great restaurant and great service and super fresh ingredients. Got a bunch of different items to split and try - All were fantastic and especially the caprese salad was amazing. Will make a point to stop back whenever we’re traveling this way.

Good food that comes at a price, but worth it for the occasional outing. They do have more "affordable" dining options. Flatbreads (aka fancy pizza) are about $15 and will provide enough for left overs. Hamburgers are about $14 and they are amazing! They use quality ingredients, even the bun is nice bread. If you go at lunch and get lunch specials it is even more affordable. Last time there they had a steak for $80, It may have been half the cow? So prices span the spectrum based on budget and taste.

More quality than the food is the service. Each experience I have had has been with a very warm, welcoming waitress (different ones each time). They are attentive and energetic - probably knowing most the patrons have a lot of potential tip money, but hey, that is what it is for! So it works.

Though a fancy restaurant - I have seen people dressed casual (shorts and Tee's) and with families (little ones). So I would classify it as family friendly and semi-casual. A great restaurant that is well cared for, clean, and delicious and attracts good employees. I recommend trying it at least once!

Absolutely love coming to this restaurant! I don't get to as much as I'd like because it is about 110 miles away. But, wow, is it worth it! Excellent bourbon selection, wine list and the food is amazing! This time we were lucky and they had morel mushrooms available as an appetizer...was the first time I had seen them in a restaurant as a separate dish. My steak was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor as it was prime beef. My wife had lobster risotto which was excellent as well! Looking forward to the next visit!

This place was amazing! We planned a stop here on our family’s road trip bc the reviews were so good and it did not disappoint. We ate at nearly 25 different locations on our trip and this was one of the best. We had the hummus appetizer, grilled cheese sandwich (adult version), pastrami sandwich, and kids pizza along with bread pudding dessert. Not one complaint from anyone in our group and nothing but praise for how excellent it was. We just wish it were closer to us so that we could go again!

Seriously, the best restaurant in central Illinois, in terms of food, decor, and service - another league. Fresh and delicious food, great bar, and a bargain lunch special (nothing comes remotely close for the price/quality ratio). They have their own farm, a dedicated pastry chef, and simply put - they know how to cook, which is something not to be taken for granted. The place itself is gorgeous, especially in the spring and summer. Pro tip: get the onion soup. It's ridiculously delicious.
