Golden Phoenix Restaurant

This way my first time getting food from here and I wasn't disappointed! I was nervous that it would be greasy with no meat but this wasn't the case. Of course everything was still fried so grease was present but it wasn't dripping. I ordered the sweet and sour combo dinner but asked for just chicken, no shrimp or pork. Also the pieces of meat were decent sized. The rangoon could have had a bit more filling inside it but was still very good. I loved the egg rolls and I'm pretty picky about egg rolls. I also got a good amount of food for only $8. My boyfriend got the house fried rice and that was also very good. I would recommend all of these.
There is no dine in option or delivery, so takeout is the only option here but it's in a pretty convenient location, so it's not a big deal.

Great egg drop soup. Have tried many entree's most have been excellent. Very friendly and do their best to keep you happy. Have been eating here for over 2 years now food is always excellent..

I would like to commend The Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant in Coal City for taking the time to chop up my order of beef chop suey.I have esophagus cancer and due to the tumor I am unable to swallow any food unless it is chopped fine or pureed.I need chopped food to keep up my nourishment and gain my weight back.I tried to get my food chopped at other places and was turned down .It is nice to know that there are people who care to take the time to help someone fighting cancer.

I ordered to my work. Beef N Broccoli Dinner special was DELICIOUS! I also had hot n sour soup..also very very good. Will order again

One of my favorite restaurants ever! The food is amazing and people are very friendly. Good Chinese food. Especially the lomein.If I find myself in concord again, I will come back!
