The Dirty Bird Bar and Grill

Great place with amazing food, atmosphere, and staff. They have 100% home made appetizers you can't get enough of and the burgers are amazing!

This is our first visit to the Dirty Bird. I am very pleased that the bar and grill was light and open as for the atmosphere. I like good pubs but many are dark and dingy with black ceiling and so forth. This place is the antithesis of that being well lit with warm wood decor and white ceilings and walls.
Our visit was slightly after 2 pm on Sunday. We ordered the portobello mushroom appetizer. They were indeed hand battered with a great breading and served hot and not greasy in the least. They were perfectly done and served with a great blue cheese dressing that was thick and abundant with blue cheese crumbles. Nicely done.
I had the dirty bird burger which has grilled onion and garlic aioli sauce. The combination was well paired being a rich savory. The bun was to write home on. Not your typical midwestern sweet bun that has no texture. This was good in texture without being sweet but was caramelized/grilled on the burger side to a great crispness that is rarely seen when ordering burgers. What a delight to have this attention to detail on the bread which what makes a great sandwich and not merely a mushy holder for the contents. My wife had a mushroom and Swiss burger which was done in the same manner. A side of fries for each were thin and crispy an seasoned lightly with salt and pepper.

The other thing I greatly appreciate was a lengthy menu of adult beverages from which one could choose from. This was refreshing to see and a pleasure to order from as well. Also included was a list of their signature drinks with their components, also well executed. Delightful to see in a small town pub.

Service was quick, friendly and knowledgeable with promptness even though they were remarkably busy for the hour.

My hat is off to the crew and the proprietor. We will be back!

The Dirty Bird is the BEST around. Great service and a good variety of wonderful tasting food. They really know what they are doing!!
