Captain D's

Even though it recently opened, Captain D's crew seems to have it together. I have visited several times, and been very happy with each and every meal. Fresh out of the fryer golden crispy fish, freshly fried hush puppies, and the same with chicken tenders. Fantastic selection of sides, and of course, that famous sweet tea. While it is, in the long, run simply a fast food restaurant, I've been very impressed so far.

It was SO GOOD right when it opened, but food doesn't seem as good already, and I don't know where all the friendly gals went? They were super friendly and helpful, where did they go? Now the gals @ register don't even scan my rewards card, after I give it to them multiple times, just don't seem to care?!

Just a week after opening and I have tried everything on the menu. I am so glad this fresh seafood chain was brought to Carbondale to provide fast and friendly services. Although I like the fried seafood options, I also enjoy having healthy grilled alternatives and full salads.
Eating here was the first time I've had hush puppies, and they provide them free of charge if you have an extended wait time.
I get to mix and match veggies, fries, and mac and cheese.
ALSO before I go, I make sure to grab a sweet dessert, my favorite being the funnel cake sticks with powdered sugar or a chocolate cake.

Thoroughly impressed with Captain D's, the Long John Silvers here hasn't been good in years and this place does a much better job. The staff was full of energy and really helpful. I ordered in the drive through and it was hot when I got it and still hot when I got home! The food is pretty good I got the sampler along w the 15 piece shrimp basket. The prices are great and I look forward to coming here more often!

Food meet quality standards just like the one in St Louis. Good and FAST service. Delicious food way better than Long John Silvers. Food has better quality and freshness and you get your money’s worth most definitely have to make a visit here it’s worth it I hope they keep these standards and don’t drop them.
