Amazing Food! Homemade Style & Very Friendly Service!

All I have to say is wow! TA Country Pride has been goint down across the country for years but after stumbling into this one in Mt. Vernon because the line was to long at Popeyes I'm speechless. Our service from Barb was top notch after telling her our food was hot/tasty she said the cook Darryl is the best and their is no denying that at all. You could feel the positively of the employees radiating throughout the restaurant and I quickly realized why after witnessing a young man named Cory helping and older lady set up the salad buffet. I've never seen someone speak so kindly and help an employee like he was doing yesterday (4-16). The older woman was named Rita and after talking to her for a few minutes I found out she has worked in the restaurant since it opened over 30 years ago and has seen many managers over the years come and go but Cory is the first that everyone has been hopeful will stay. We will stop every time we pass through now. Although we wish you would stop taking out hot buffets (they don't have one) drivers prefer hot buffets with good selections over menu order for faster speed of service and give loyalty points for restaurant purchases vs. other things to sign up for.

This restaurant inside that truck stop made me and my best friend the absolute best breakfast we have had in years. I had a really big breakfast that came with cheese grits and eggs and potatoes and all kinds of meat and french toast and it was absolutely delicious and it came with a biscuit and gravy I think it might have been called the country boy or something but whatever it was excellent. My best friend had chicken fried steak and it was huge and it was absolutely delicious to him. As much as we wanted to take pictures the food looks so good when we got it we just immediately started eating. Service is this restaurant was quick the server was very attentive and very sweet and we went on Christmas Eve early in the morning like 7 a.m.
