I would really love to give this place a great review.... the server was good and so was the food I had a tremendously long hair in my food and unfortunately I had to pull it out of my mouth like a magicians cloth just very disturbing. It seems like you either have a great experience or bad here no in between.
Love this place. Been coming since I was a kid. There is no sign that says seat yourself, or maybe it wasn't out when I was there, so I was a little confused at first haha. I love the fish tanks right next to the booths!! Such a cool feature that I have yet to see at any other restaurant.
I'm giving 4 stars because the food was great, our server was nice and my husband said the service he had years ago was awesome.
When we arrived there were a few groups ahead of us. We stood in the hallway waiting for around 30 minutes. When we finally got up to the "rope" we waited another 5 min before someone said anything to us at all. She told us to sit at the bench to make more room so everyone could get in. She kindly requested the door remain shut because otherwise it let's in too much heat. Understandable. She also offered us drinks. What I don't understand is why they don't have someone up front greeting anyone. Then when we were seated, it took our waitress another 10 min to come take our drink order. Fortunately it was smooth sailing after that. My friend who treated our family out wasn't going to leave a tip because of our experience... but the waitress made it up after we got our drinks. Let's just say I'm much nicer than my friend lol
They have good food and good service. The hush puppies are divine! It reminds me of the old Red Lobster hush puppies before they quit serving them...or even better!
Plus, the kids will love the views. They have [very] large fish and snapping turtles that would make a meal out of us they are so big--behind glass and safe of course!
The entrance is confusing when we were there...go up the long flight of steps...not on the lower entrance. There's also a convenient bait store and b&b/motel next door if you are staying the night in Grafton.
The food is really good. Price is not too bad. The atmosphere is great with the fish tanks as well as a bit of a view of the river. Will definitely go back!
