    If you’re skulking around Dubuque looking for a late night foodery, Mulgrew’s certainly will turn the trick.

    The staff is surprising peppy at 2:00A. Low frills service on wax paper presents you with a classic, foot-long chili dog. The chili is better than expected and the shun the plastic pump cheese in favor of cheddar shreds. Step up to the counter and your late night gluttony will begin in mere minutes.

    Stay out late and find a face full of bad decisions for only $7. Cheese and jalapeños are $0.50 extra. Self-loathing is free.

    I have no regrets.

    The footlong hotdog I had was with chili, onion, and Jalapeños. My God it was delicious! Jim was so cool taking care of us out of towners. I really recommend coming here. The food is great and the company is even better.
