This was truly the best Indian food I’ve had in my life. The egg paratha dish and beef appetizer were both fabulous. Not too spicy either. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had. So special. Thank you!!! The only place in Aurora worth eating out for!!💕
I was looking forward to trying this place but was very disappointed. We went on a Wednesday for lunch, and the place was pretty much empty. I ordered idiyappam, goat pepper curry, and kerala parotta. We requested the goat to be mild spicy, but it was so spicy. The curry has a lot of black pepper, tasted like that rather than the goat. The goat was hard and rubbery. It's overpriced, I didn't expect to pay over $50 for lunch. The service is ok. Since the curry was so spicy, we ordered the water melon drink, which was a whopping $9.99. we didn't expect that. The portions are okay because I left feeling hungry. We just wanted to eat and leave as soon as possible. The place is clean, but I wish it was decorated better. We will jot be going back.
This place has a pretty decent menu items. Most of South Indian food items. The drinks were nicely done. The appetizers were OK however I felt it was too pricy as the food portion was too less for that price. The chicken starters were OK. Porota was excellent with the veg kurma. Chicken briyani was good. Idiyappam was nice and fresh. Overall it was good and I would suggest to try the South Indian food.
Authentic Kerala food. Their pepper goat fry is a must try. I went with a group and every dish that I tasted was very yummy. This is the only authentic Kerala restaurant in Chicago area.
This was our first time at Black Pepper Lounge and we had a great experience! Beautiful restaurant space with a modern ambiance. We were greeted with homely Kerala snacks to munch at in the beginning .
We tried porotta, beef ularthiyathu and mutton biriyani and absolutely loved it!
If you are looking for authentic Kerala food, I highly recommend this place. Will be visiting again ❤️
