Egg house Campton Hills

Food was good, they lost a star as we had some cups and utensils that weren't clean (several). It's not the best breakfast place but it is nice and friendly. We will probably go back again.

After hearing about Egg House we had to go check it out. It’s July 2022 and they’ve only been open a couple of months. Three of us showed up on a Saturday morning expecting a wait. There wasn’t one. Egg House breakfast menu is big. The table service was impeccable and the food was excellent. Pricing is a tad high for traditional breakfast stuff, but no reason not to go. FIVE STARs for the Egg House.

Staff was kind, attentive, and prompt. Food though... not great for the value.

B&G - Rather generic, and strange to see what looked like chopped link sausage in lieu of crumbled. Mostly just tasted like black pepper. Biscuit was ok.

Pancakes - Quite overworked and glutenous. Near-bread-like chew to them.

Corned Beef Hash Skillet - Menu said homemade corned beef hash, but didn't seem any different than commercial canned hash. Enjoyed the hash browns and their finer grating. Eggs were competently cooked over medium, if not slightly overdone. Appear to substitute 4 small eggs rather than 2 large.

Coffee - Pretty standard, but significantly more expensive than drip coffee at major national coffee outlets.

My family came in for Breakfast on Saturday and we were pleasantly greeted and seated quickly. Our server, Jennifer, was amazing. I've never had such pleasant and efficient service. It's obvious that she likes her job. Food came out fast and was hot and tasty. The atmosphere is clean and very upbeat and pleasant. We give the Egg House 5 stars and will definitely be returning often.

The service was good, but the food was very blah. They offer biscuits and gravy as an option instead of toast or pancakes so you would think it would be fantastic since it's offered with basically everything, but it was flavorless. Pancakes are decent, but the strawberry and banana pancakes came with raspberry sauce on them. Fresh sqeezed orange juice is good but they served it with seeds floating in it. Overall, there are just a lot of breakfast restaurants in the area that have far better food.
