The staff is super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is nice and clean even the bathrooms. The food was good, but the customer service stands out.
Looking for a new restaurant to try for Mexican foods..
Found this place on randall rd in elgin
Pros n cons
Pros first..unfortunately short list
2 pulled beef tacos were very good
Chips were excellent , freshly made also was the guacamole .
Cons....
Salsa was literally like a thin soup not sure how it classifies as salsa
Ordered a steak burrito, to be honest I could not tell you it was a steak burrito either cuz it was lacking a bigger amount of steak or lacking flavorful steak.
The rice unfortunately was over cooked n lacked flavor very bland.
Beans were like whipped mashed potatoes consistency again very bland.
I guess in my opinion it was missing that " hole in the wall" restaurant flavoring that I'm seeking .
Big menu will earn them another try with their selection of protein .
Thanks

I have been there 2 times as it was a different place. It is a fast food place, limited table service and not a restaurant style. You walk in, order, pay and seat. A true taquería style. It also has carry out and drive through options.
The food is good, burrito was my 1st try and was well balance, flavors and ingredients, not too much lettuce, beans or rice. Like
Other places do to build it up. It was a good flavor and right amount of meat to the tortilla heated and toasted once wrapped. I also tried the gorditas but was not impressed with the film or how they add lettuce and tomato. I will say not bad but not my favorite thing. Worth trying and seeing if you like it. I ended up removí the lettuce and tomato. The tacos and name sake are good and taste. I do like the agua fresca, it is made in house but served in seal bottles. Traditional orchata/ rice water, Jamaica/ hyacinth water , tamarindo and my favorite the limon, pepino and chia seeds ( lemonade/ cucumber and chia. It’s right off or Randal and rout 20, next to McDonald’s, the fox theater ( Marcus theater) in the old Dunking place. Seating and parking is open
Steak tacos and tostadas were amazing! Guacamole was fresh, and 4 salsa options on the table for your enjoyment with chips.
Friendly service and super fresh food. Check this place out if you haven’t already.
Had the 3 small quesabirria tacos with consume, steak taco and two chicken tacos. Ordered a side of beans and chips/salsa. Great food and service. Nice to have a solid taco place in this area!
