Our waitress knew nothing about any of the draft beers they serve, grass fed burgers are $3 more, but the food was decent and the fries were hot. Not sure if I'd make a return trip if we were out that way - Geneva has lots of competition. I hear the Glen Ellyn spot is supposed to be "good" so I might try that before reserving final opinion, but overall not duly impressed and not a place I'd make a point to return to. One other point - the peach cobbler was really yummy.
Nobel House is one of my favorite places to eat in Geneva. The food is great and there is a wonderful beer selection that features a number of local brews. I do have to say that if you do stop by Nobel House you absolutely have to get the burnt ends. They are like meat candy and should be a part of every visit!
Glen Ellyn was just shook by Nobel house. Awesome spot with really good food. Staff is on point, friendly and attentive. Beer selection is awesome. Lots of local crafts on tap.
They smoke their own meats! Used to love the lamb burger they had here but they dropped it from the menu. But try the smoked brisket or their sausages, fantastic. Had the mac and cheese side, it was tasty but didn't notice it was not baked so no crust on top. Just macaroni with cheese sauce, nothing special. I would suggest the sweet potato fries instead as a side, these are great. Also had the charred broccoli, but not fond of charred vegetables so asked for no char. They will make it for you however you like if you ask them. I think they steamed my order, it was just right.
Had the Bourbon Mule, very good.
So easy to overeat here, make sure to request a take-home box and enjoy it again tomorrow :)
The meat sampler is only $29 and has a pile of brisket, pulled pork, ribs, etc. The mac and cheese is also outstanding. A good selection of beers and some occasional live entertainment makes this a nice place to go on a weekend night. They used to have the place very dark and loud and it was not as enjoyable. This night the lighting was good and we could hear ourselves talk. Parking is usually not an issue on the street or around the corner.
