Salerno's Red Hots

Our meal from Salerno's was DELICIOUS! We had the hot dog meal, Italian beef sandwich, and Tom Tom tamale. Very friendly service. We will DEFINITELY be going back!

Salerno's Red Hots reminds me of some other establishments I've lived near over the years. Love the old fashioned approach to everything, especially, the dogs! Nothing fancy, just a good old Vienna beef dog with the Chicago fixings. Small building with counter-service and a few stools to sit at. The employees during my visit were friendly.

My only callout would be to have the nutritional and allergen information available. Having a family with food allergies limits where we can go to enjoy a meal and I was not able to bring home a hot dog for my daughter. Hoping that can be resolved via the new website or updated menus in store. Other than that, a pleasant experience and I can't wait to hit them up again and try more of the menu.

All the best parts of a good ol’ fashioned Chicago hot dog joint with a little more friendliness, probably since it’s locally owned. I had the Maxwell St polish and it was honestly the best I’ve had in recent memory, plus the fries are fresh cut and really crispy. Give this place a shot, very reasonably priced and tasty!

Was visiting in Plano with the family and on the way home we stopped at Salerno's for Chicago hot dogs & fries. Hot dogs were just the right snap when you bite into it. Buns were soft with poppy seeds with just the right amount of celery salt. Fries are fresh cut on site, really, really good and you get a boat load of fries. They only have canned soda. The place is very, very clean. Limited seating but comfortable chairs with counter space for eating. Owner and staff were pleasant to all of us. This is a must place to stop and eat!! We will definitely be back to visit.

Great tastes of Chicagoland. One of those small mom and pop joints that has a good family feel. I hope to see some outdoor events this summer. Great hang out place..
