Ginger + Soul

We decided to make a random breakfast stop on a Sunday morning and we were not dissapointed. Amazing buffet-style food with many choices and delicious sweets, not to mention very friendly staff! Truly a gem.

Unique selection of food and really nice staff. They do catering, but they also recently started offering dinner Thursday-Saturday evenings.

It's a very small and sophisticated restaurant. It was kind of hard to find at night because of the lack of clear signage in the night. They have a small and concise menu. I wasn't overwhelmed with options, which I liked a lot. The food tasted like it was made by someone who really honed and perfected their skills. I had the salmon that night, it was a little dry for my preference, but overall, the meal was amazing. According to my server, their menu changes week to week, so I'm excited to see what they have the next time I return.

Price point is slightly higher than I expected. Hopefully there is an addition to the menu sometime soon! Not a lot of variety for vegetarians/vegans. Needs a big sign board to market itself, easy to miss the location.

A gem of a restaurant located right on the river in downtown Yorkville. The chefs are excellent. Smart, inventive, thoughtful. The attention to detail is great. If you're tired of chains and your looking for something different, this is your place. Our absolute favorite restaurant in Yorkville.
