The Whiskey Barrel

Great restaurant all around- cool interior with a dining section and full bar section. Good selection of draft beers and very reasonably priced. The food is amazing- the pretzel is the best appetizer and I love the pork chop as well as the whiskey burger! Their Sunday brunch buffet is great with a large selection and something Galesburg definitely needs! Can’t go wrong with anything you get!

Great service for how busy they were. Steak was cooked to perfection. Usually med rare is medium at best, this was right on med rare! Reasonably priced and wait staff was very attentive. Highly recommend!

Third time being there tonight, I was there opening night, one month in and then tonight (mother's day weekend). Food has been amazing every time I've been there, reasonably priced and leaves you full, also presented very well. Most negative comments that I've seen have been about service, common guys it's a newer joint and there's always kinks to work out with that. Each time I've dined here the service has improved. I believe that they have it together now. I had no complaints at all tonight. I highly recommend The Whiskey Barrel and hope if your local that you show them support and eat local!

Place was busy, but we had decent service. Pretzel was great. Nice varied menu, not just overpriced burgers like most new places. Food came nice and hot. All tasted great, hamburger steak,and chicken fried steak. Nice atmosphere. Great to have another choice in town, keep up the good work!

Stopped in for a quick bite. Just ordered appetizers and drinks. The pretzel was delicious and came with a whiskey cheese dip along with a hot honey dip. The cheese dip was very good, but I think the hot honey won me over. Also ordered was the Chicken Fried Steak Bites which came with a milk gravy for dipping. The drinks were very good. Give it a try it's well worth it. Next time we plan on eating a meal.
