We go here when we are at the Cancer Center. It is a nice get away from all of the negative issues. Highly recommend!

Great place to visit while making port in Winthrop Harbor. Everything you could ask for, highly recommend a pizza with a few drinks.

Medium pizza was enough for three people, drinks were fairly priced and well portioned. Atmosphere is friendly and welcoming.

Definitely will be back.

Edit: we went back again and ordered the pizza, definitely upgraded to five stars based on the quality there. A medium pizza easily feeds three people, and it's a great, crispy thin crust.

Diverse, simple menu with something that appeals to everyone (even puppies!), and daily specials. Even after a few drinks and a main, you can escape under $30 a head. The service is friendly and attentive.

This place has ridiculously great service. The food is excellent as well for Seaside Fare on the Casual side. Will be going back for the patio view of the harbor and excellent service.

We like it here at the tropics they have all kinds of different drink specials from kids to adults it has good views and depending on weather you'll never know who you will run into the menu is quite expensive and generally everything is good. The wait staff is eager to please because they know their tips depend on it. There are normally many different sized fish swimming along be outside seating area to keep the kids interested in looking for them well food is being prepared. We have never met the chef there but some people we know that have a slip at the marina talk very positive about their experiences there as well. This review is just my opinion and worth as much as he paid for it thank you in advance LOL
