Famous Freddie's Roadhouse

Had the best chicken, avocado sandwich. The bloody mary was really good. I can't wait to try some of their delicious menu meals.

Wasn't sure what to think, but we thought we would visit and try out the new menu. For a Saturday night, it was a little empty, but I'm guessing people are still finding out about them being him open in the winter and that they have a menu far exceeding their previous offerings.

We seated ourselves and waited for our waitress. It took a bit of time, but she finally came around. I think she was the only waitress out there. Seems she was handling all of the tables, which obviously was less than ideal. Definitely slowed down service as she stopped by fairly infrequently. Again, it seems she was the only one out there taking care of the tables.

As for the food, we ordered the full slab of ribs special and avocado chicken and a couple of side salads. The food was really good. Far exceeded our expectations. The ribs were falling off of the bone. The side of corn and jalapeno mashed potato were great!! Not spicy either. Just great flavor. Coleslaw was different, but tasty! My wife said the Avocado chicken was really good as well.

Overall we had a nice dinner at a good price. A casual place with great food. Service needs to be stepped up for sure. But we'll be back to try again.

It's a bar... on the water. I'm not sure how much more you could 'critic' it. If you're expectations are high, You probably shouldn't be going to any of the bars along the chain.

That being said Freddie's has pretty decent food, a fun a lively atmosphere in the summer, and easy access to the water. It is a bit of a hike to get to it from the main road and traveling down neighborhood streets to get to them feels wrong.

All in all, it's not a terrible place to enjoy your day.

So glad they re-invented themselves! The new dining experience is amazing. The ribs were fantastic!! The prices are great! The new atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. We have gone twice this week because it is that good! First visit was with the family and everyone enjoyed their food including desert! Ribs were had by 3 of us and not a speck of food left behind. Not because they were small portions but because it was that good. The second time was just with my husband and he had the pork chop with vegetables and mashed potatoes and gravy.He enjoyed it and said how tender it was. I had the ribs again! Excellent place to go. I think I found our new favorite restaurant!!! The staff is amazing too!!!
