La Cocina Restaurant

Recently moved in with my husband in Fox Lake. I'm from Mexico and I was missing home when we found this little restaurant tucked away in downtown Fox Lake. The staff is all super nice and the food is very tasty. Now a little less homesick. We always come here for Mexican or when I'm missing my mom's home cooked dishes. Love it!

Good authentic Mexican food. My son, grandson and I are eating at all the local Mexican restaurants comparing each. The tacos were very good but smaller than others we have had. The tamales were amazing. Definitely try them. I'll definitely go back again.

Authentic Mexican food very good staff is very nice. Good service prices are good for the portions. Highly recommended

You will not find any other place with nicer people and better food around

The store front can look deceptive as it is located next to a dive bar. But don't be fooled. Once inside the restaurant is clean and well organized. The menu has the typical Mexican food fare. The difference is in the price and portions you get. In my opinion the overall value of price to portions is more than reasonable. You do get good value. The order can be taken out, eaten there, or delivered. I have not had the delivery so I cannot rate that aspect. The food is prepared fresh and The kitchen can be seen. The kitchen is clean. I have had ordered from La Cocina several times and have never been disappointed in the food or service. You won't be disappointed if you choose to eat here.
