Shake Shack

Shake Shack burgers are good - hot & fresh, though a bit salty. Also, expect to have to wait 5-15 minutes from the time of order, depending on how busy they are. My issue with the Vernon Hills store was that I walked in today before they got busy and stood at the counter for a full minute or longer while the two counter workers had their backs turned, facing the kitchen. Either waiting for orders to be processed or chit-chatting with the kitchen staff - or both. Pretty poor not to at least turn around and acknowledge the waiting customers. Better yet, take their orders, THEN turn around and see if the food has come up yet!

Not impressed with the hot dogs and hamburgers, very salty. Fries were good. Shakes were good (should be, given the name). They work very hard to get your order correct. No compelling reason to come back anytime soon.

It was our first time at shake shack. They have a station where you order your food at this touch screen monitor and pay. Then you wait till you get a text message when your food is ready. The service is fast and efficient. The food is delicious. I recommend the chicken bites with the shake shack sauce.
