George's Gyros

Stopped in for a bite to eat before Naval Graduation Ceremony . Large portions at great price. Excellent!

First time visiting this place. Was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and attentive staff. We had the Gyro Sandwich with fries, and a soda. The food was alright, I would have liked a little more salad on the Gyro. The fries weren’t very nice, I’m sorry, dry, and no taste. I would defiantly go back though, just need to check out some other items.

The best Gyros I've had in a long time. The food was great and the staff is friendly. It's a cozy space with limited seating and free parking. The is also casino machines to try your luck. Great eat I'm super full after eating half a cheesy gyro.

Traveling from Milwaukee to Peoria, my girlfriend and I stopped and spent the day at Six Flags in Gurnee. We were there for almost 9 hours and by the time I left we were both starving.

She loves the home cut style of fries and who can blame her, they're so good!! She googled "best home cut fries" and George's (both locations) came up as did a few other restaurants too. George's won because they were closest and there was a picture of the fries in the search results.

And boy did they not disappoint! I ordered they gyro combo and I'll admit, I've never had a gyro before but I'll certainly be having more in the future. She got the fries and was pleasant for the remainding the hours of our drive so I'm going to guess she loved them.

We'll definitely be because when we're in the area.
