Yami’s Puerto Rican Cuisine

Been there 3 times in the past month, snd they treat us and all their customers as family, food is great and fairly priced.

Chuletas to go. The spot is kinda hidden but you can find this awesome place. Stay in or take go. The staff and food are pretty good. Eat up

This weekend Wife and I ordered: Empanadas, Plantain sandwich, yellow rice, potato salad, noodle salad, sweet plantains, mofongo, and pork brisket (forgot the actual name for the dish). Food was a amazing, great flavors and filling. I couldn't get enough of the plantain sandwich. Meals were made to order, so that did take some time. The menu is small, but each dish was well done. I'd rather see a menu with 10 things done well than 20 mediocre dishes. Otherwise a great addition to the North Shore's food scene.

When we came in we weren't sure if we sat ourselves or waited for someone. Just a bit confusing with all the workers in the back. We had a jibarito and chicken breast dinners. The food was a little cold. Was a big disappointed with the portion size of the chicken breast. The jibarito was good. Server was nice and attentive. Overall would return. There is no restaurant in area serving this type of food.

Food Good. Only giving it 3 stars because of service. They definitely need a meeting and a class on proper service etiquette. There’s no Puerto Rican restaurants around the area so I hope they get better. I’d definitely try it again in hopes the service improves.
