Jameson's Charhouse - Vernon Hills

My son took me to Jameson's Charhouse a week after they open with no reservations. I must say the service was excellent and the food was delicious and because we were celebrating my birthday they had provided us dessert. No charge. What s sweet surprise. Definitely will go back.

Great addition to the dining experience of residents of the Chicago northern suburbs. Jameson's Charhouse has filled somewhat of a void of $$ to $$$ type of restaurants in Vernon Hills quite nicely. Cozy atmosphere inside, warmed up by a central fireplace and friendly staff, adds to a convenient street location, with plenty of parking space. The menu is well thought through, with a nice balance of surf and turf dishes, as well as some house specialties: rack of lamb, halibut, and prime rib. The bar is fully stocked and offers a good variety of cocktails, wine, and beer. Speaking of which, do try their own Jameson's blond ale for only $5. You'll ask for a refill in no time, I guarantee.

Great food, we got pork chops and they were well cooked and super flavorful. Our server Dave was amazing and very attentive our entire stay. Only thing in my opinion that I would is the presentation of the hostess. She seemed like she didn’t enjoy her self at the front, made faces to reinforce that thought. Also the first impression from her was not the best. As we dined she kept pulling her pants up, doing her hair. That’s the only thing that I saw as improvement needed. Other than that will come back again.

We got seated quickly with no reservation. The food was delicious! Had the Parmesan crusted whitefish. The service was excellent. Will come again for sure!
