Abella's

This place is so wonderful! The people are always so friendly, the owner is a genuinely good guy, and the decor is perfect for a small-town diner. The food, though, is amazing. Personally I'd recommend either the "Pony Shoe" or the "Captain Crunch French Toast." The latter might sound strange; but trust me, it is delicious!

Abella's will always hold a special place in my heart. There's a reason this diner has been in business for over a decade. The owner is probably one of the best people I've met; he cares so much about his business that he works with his staff and talks to his customers. The restaurant itself has a cozy and warm atmosphere. The staff are ALL wonderful people and provide outstanding service. The food is the best part: it's fresh and flavorful. The coffee is to die for. Best in the county; hands down. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the best diner Macoupin County has to offer.

We stumbled upon Abella's this morning. What a pleasant surprise. The food was good. The prices were reasonable and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I was a little concerned, because everyone who came in seemed to be a regular. I thought the wait staff might be so busy talking to the regulars, that our service might suffer. This was not the case. Abby took very good care of us. She made us feel welcome.
