Great service, great food, excellent prices. I love the snackers n chili ( yes I said chili) even on a summer day. Omg so good!
So excited to get back to Olga's Kitchen for dinner tonight! We recently moved to St. Louis from Edwardsville, but it was worth the 50 minute drive to Alton. I started with the peasant soup, which is so good with bits of lamb in it. Then I got my original Ogla with extra Olga sauce on the side. It was perfect! The curly fries were a nice side dish. I hope the company will consider expanding back into the St. Louis area, but in the meantime we will make the trek to Alton. BTW, the service was terrific and the restaurant was clean.
The food was good but what really stood out was our server Kenny. He was courteous and attentive with all of his tables. He was so good at taking his time and listening to his customers. Yet he would run around making sure everyone’s drinks and food orders were being filled and tables were clean. He has a wonderful work ethic and takes time for people.
I had lunch on a Sunday, so it wasn't as super busy as it often gets. I had the half-size Olga with the special Lentil Chickpea soup, and had room for the special Chocolate Hazelnut bread pudding. Everything was delicious! The service was also excellent. It had been a while since I ate here. I think we last came at a busy time, and had some problems, but now I will be eager to eat here again!
