“Really great simple home cooking best for light days or hot days or cold days with their fresh soup. They make everything by hand so when they run out l, they are out. Their pies are out of this world and the #1 reason to go. Pecan pie or their chocolate moose pie is to die for. Also for history Buffs, Alton is the one of the most haunted towns in America the building that My Just Desserts is in was actually a law office for Ab Lincoln.”

“Delicious and fresh food. The portions are generous. The are plenty of meat and vegetarian options, and the dessert sampler was delightful. There is ample seating indoors and outdoors, and the service was good. You order inside, and they give you a number on a little post to place on the table, then go sit where you like. When the food is ready, they bring it out and know who to bring it to buy the number. The crab bisque was very good!!”

“They do have a wide variety of beer selections. The food is unique and good especially the poppers. But you only get six of them so you are not wanting to share. The decor is interesting. The parking can be a little challenging but it has not stopped me yet.”

“Not a bad little place. The food is great. I love the building. The service has been less than desirable both times. The first visit we asked for our checks to be split. They charged me and 1 other guest correctly. The third guest was charged for the entire bill and had to wait to be refunded. The server did not even apologize. Our next visit was my birthday dinner. We had a party of 8. This means that Gratuity was already included (we still tip on top of that). We were treated as if our tip had already been determined and the server had no time to help us. Had to ask several times for condiments and the side order of pickles that 1 guest requested. Drinks stayed empty.”

“Wow!!! This was a fluke find. My husband googled “pizza Alton Illinois” and we found this gem. Fabulous service & AMAZING pizza! We ordered 2 large and barely had leftovers. Save room for dessert. The gooey butter cake is delicious. Next time we will order more pizza and more cake so I know we have leftovers.”

“I have been coming here since I was literally a 6-7 yr old girl. We would beg my mom for hot wings and quarters for the games while she played pool with her boyfriend. Their are not any arcade games anymore but the wings still have that great taste and price 20 years later! And now that I have the American right to drink Alcohol it has gotten even better. Their are always tons of ,music and an old school Jukebox. There are drink specials everyday and a smoking are which is hard to find now days! “Very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. A staple of Alton for decades. Their menu is typical of good Italian restaurants and their Pepperloin steak is what they're known for. Excellent selection of bourbons and whiskeys. The staff is very friendly, if not overly attentive, which is by no means a complaint. “We stopped by for a cocktail because the bar area is beautiful. We stayed for dinner to see how it was. Honestly we were very pleased with results. Being somewhat new they have limited staff but the drinks were good and the steaks were delicious. You should at the very least stop by for a cocktail and see what you think. “Really good food for brunch. We arrived a little before noon and there was limited seating available and we're seated right away. Most of the food was fresh. The brisket and prime rib were my favorites. My wife had a freshly prepared omlet and it was made perfectly. Only drawback was the service. Couldn't get a refill for anything. Had to go to the bar and serve thy self. That would have been fine if they told us that to start with. Have always received great service in the bar just not in the dining room.”
