    Always a favorite place for some ice cream.

    Can't say anything bad about this place. Locally owned with the best burgers in town and great ice cream, and a different flavor yogurt every week for those who can't stomach lactose like myself.

    There's so much one can say about experiences at outdoor ice cream venues. And some of those thongs can be nice.
    But Weathervane is an icon of Granite City that has stood in it's location in downtown Granite for as long as the current owner has been alive and possibly longer.
    And under the ownership of this man, Weathervane continues to offer up shakes, malts, ice cream galore in a way that keeps me wanting to cheat on a sensible diet now and again.
