Mel's shed is a must stop if your in mason county. Tv and BEER. The shed probably has the best selection of ice cold beer in the area, and the food is fantastic. My favorite is the expertly crafted burgers and potatoe salad. And you always have to get some appetizers like mini tacos and fried pickles. We always get food fast and piping hot even when it's busy, which it's busy most of the time because it's such a great experience. Weekends you most definitely want to call ahead and make reservations. But don't let that keep you from going because you won't be disappointed. And while your waiting for your food or an open table you can always play slots or watch the game or the race on their massive tv's. 5 stars everyday of the week. Plan on spending $10 to $15 per person unless your getting steak or seafood. Then it may be $20 to $30.

The prime rib, salad and baked potato was excellent. Well worth the 70 mile trip.

Somewhat of a hidden gem in Mason County. Great food, great atmosphere, great people. You're never a stranger down at The Shed. Service is always great, even during a dinner rush on the night of a special. The kind of place you can grab a beer and make yourself at home while the catfish is cookin'.
