Kobe Japanese Steakhouse

The food was great. We went to celebrate three birthdays, we had a party of 9. We had been going to another Kobe location because we had come to this one several times years ago and the food was just not as good as the one in Lake Zurich. We booked here because it was what we could got into our schedule. I ordered fillet and golden shrimp and it was cold to perfection. We also love all the starters. The typical salad at a hibachi restaurant, the chicken fried rice and some shrimp. This was the first time we ever had noodles. They were delicious.

Best hibachi place in Algonquin area. Always good food and great customer service. Tip: If you're trying to visit them on the weekends make a reservation.

Our first time there with the family and it was great! Our hibachi chef was great!! Gave us shots of saki too! They were packed for a Saturday but we had reservations and we were seated right away. Really nice evening.

The sushi and hibachi food quality was very good. Our steak was flavorful, tender, and prepared as requested. The spicy tuna crunch roll was excellent. The service was good, but not at the same level as the food.
The reason I dropped a star from the rating was the facility... the men's bathroom did not have a changing station, and should have been cleaner. The entry airlock had a hand- written sign taped up instructing customers to open only one door at a time. And the insulation above my seat around the exhaust hood had fallen apart and was being cold air into the restaurant... they set up a space heater next to our seating in an effort to compensate. Clearly they have room to improve the facility.

Very good food with good prices. I made a reservation to do a small birthday dinner gathering for my husband. They were very accommodating. I brought in an ice cream cake and they kept it in the freezer and brought it out to us with a candle. They had a young child help celebrate; it was very sweet. Thanks Kobe!
