Good food, it was busy because it was Easter. I felt the buffet line was a little confusing. Very attentive and friendly service
If you expect "gourmet" go somewhere else. Just great comfort foods that are kept hot, fresh and oh so good. Great service and clean to boot!
Wonderful service. Their stuffed shrimp was the best. The veil cutlet amazing. Delicious!!!
Stopped here for dinner on a Wednesday night. It appeared to be a slow night. (We later learned that the Friday night fish fry and the Sunday champagne brunch are the big draws.) The lack of customers meant it was quiet and peaceful for us. Our server was attentive in just the right manner. I think this would be true even on a crowded night. The relish tray, and crackers and cheese, to start the meal were fabulous. Very old school. My wife's salad was fresh and crisp. My French onion soup was average - nothing to rave about, but nothing to complain about either. The hot-out-of-the-oven dinner rolls were awesome. My wife gave her coconut shrimp - one of the night's specials - a thumbs down. I went with a Swiss cheeseburger, medium rare, and a Diet Coke. The cheeseburger was big, but it was a long way from being the best I've ever eaten. All the same, I was happy with my order. It was a big, better-than-average cheeseburger cooked correctly. Both my wife and I enjoyed our generous helpings of the same tasty sides - fries and a medley of cooked vegetables. The meal ended on a high note for me with a delicious slice of carrot cake and a rich-brewed cup of coffee. At about $42 (before the tip) for all of this, the pricing seems more than fair. One last note: our server kindly let me know soft drink refills are usually NOT free. (But she did fulfill my request for another half glass of Diet Coke free of charge. Kudos to her.)
