Went for dinner last night and can easily rate this as my new favorite spot in McHenry County. The service was EXCELLENT (thank you Nate! Your excitement about food was infectious!)
We had a hummus appetizer that was phenomenal and my sandwich was perfect.
Everything was well timed, from the minute we ordered drinks till the time our take out box was delivered, I could tell the entire team was paying attention. The atmosphere is to-die for, it’s obvious that a lot of intention went into every detail. Great art on the walls and PHENOMENAL background music. Fun, lively, the right volume for conversation, and fitting to the vibe. The tables and chairs were even modern but comfortable. 100% will be back again and again and again!!!!

Can’t recommend them enough! I’m a very loyal customer to Duke’s Alehouse and had high expectations for Inferno, and they were completely surpassed. Amazing food and a very friendly staff. Definitely get the kale and artichoke dip for your starter!

We love the original dukes. We were excited to try this new spot, as it has only been open for a couple of weeks. The vibe was cool, the staff was friendly and attentive. I think Nathan was our server.. and he was so nice.

Now for the food: The “support local”, eco-conscious model is respectable and I know with that, there is added cost. However, after tip, we spent over $100 for two cocktails, a beer, sandwich, and 12” pizza. We both felt that it was good, but not worth the price. I honestly was still hungry when we left. I got the notorious PIG sandwich, and there was nothing “biggie” about it. There one one narrow slice of pork belly on each half of the sandwich, which I found very underwhelming and not filling. The German potato salad was delicious, but again, a small portion. The No Diggity pizza was good, lots of goat cheese and chorizo, cool that the crust is made with local beer, but again, not worth the $20.

All in all, would we go back? Maybe. But it won’t be first on our list. Hoping this feedback helps the new business. I wish them the best!

Fantastic meal on a Friday evening. We were seated promptly upon arrival (reservations made for 5:30) to a clean table near the wood-fired oven. We ordered an appetizer of hot olives which came with bread for dipping. We each decided to go with pizza and ordered a 'Shimmy Shimmy Ya' (kim chi, black garlic red sauce, fresh mozzarella) and a 'build Your Own' Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushroom. The pizzas were delicious! I loved the crispness of my pizza that the wood-fired oven created. The restaurant uses locally sourced produce when possible as well as beverage choices. I didn't see any options for typical non-alcoholic beverages (i.e. Coke, Pepsi, etc.) however they did have what appeared to be some similar type of drinks. We'll be back!
