Baba Restaurant

A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming with a beautiful smile , followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to the details on my order.
My Family and I love this place. I recommend this place to one and all to definitely at least try it once.

This restaurant is a great addition to the Bloomington Normal community. When you first walk into the restaurant you notice that it is so clean that one could eat off the floor. First impressions are everything and this place definitely left me wanting to see what else they had to offer. The food was amazing!!!! I ordered Two fried catfish meals with fries. It was cooked to perfection! The food was well seasoned and lacked nothing. The lunch specials are nothing short of amazing. I would recommend anyone coming here to grab some great food. The portions leave you full and very satisfied. Don't walk.....run to get yourself some. They also sell Indian food that is fresh and made to order. You will not be disappointed. Live well!

This is one of those restaurants whose menu is an instant heart attack.
The menu mostly consists of fried items.
I had the double cheese burger which was huge and very good but the fries that went with them were average fair.
They had their own home made BBQ sauce which was both sweet and tangy that had a slight hint of raspberry flavor to it that went very well on the cheese burger.
The service was good and I got to speak with the owner who was very pleasant.
If you stop in at Baba's I would recommend the double cheese burger.

So I came here with my buddy because he and I are always trying to check out new places to eat in Bloomington-Normal and I'm so happy I convinced him to eat here with me. My GOODNESS this is probably the best fried chicken I have had anywhere in the twin cities, hands down. The breading is crispy and each piece of chicken (tried the tenders) was perfectly seasoned. I was amazed at how high quality the chicken they use is, and how meaty even something like fried chicken tenders can be. Full of flavor, not greasy, perfectly breaded, and piping hot so do yourself a favor and wait a minute or a few before eating! They give the same treatment to their crinkle cut fries that enjoyed some of the seasoning that fell down from the tenders. Try the pizza too! It was surprisingly light and not too heavy (in a good way), doesn't leave you feeling sluggish and the quality of ingredients here is consistent with their other offerings. The crust is the highlight, simple and foldable if you like folding your slices to eat them! Will have to try their chicken pizza soon given the wonderful spices they use as well as their chicken.

They were extremely kind to me and my friend, and the food was so good I came back with my girlfriend today because I needed her to try this for herself. You can't miss out flavor like this, this place needs the praise they deserve and more people going in so they can have experiences like I've had on the two trips I've been here within the last 24 hours. Wonderful service, wonderful people, food that tastes like you've stumbled upon hidden treasure. Do yourself a favor and make this place more known to you and your friends.

My partner and I tried Baba during their grand opening. We have been looking for an awesome fish and chicken place, and Baba’s flavors delivered! The meat was high quality, well breaded, and well seasoned. The restaurant was clean and it’s clear that the owner/employees put a lot of care into what they do. The ordering system was slightly confusing. Once we ordered, we weren’t sure if we should sit/how/when to claim our food. After inquiring about our food, we were served our correct order. The staff is friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back.
