Maverick Steaks & Spirits

When you think of iconic area restaurants, you may always be drawn to the Ariston, but Maverick has offered consistently great dining for a quarter century. It is a unique dining experience and the salad bar is always tops. The restaurant offers space for large groups too! There was no doubt, when my father was alive, if given the choice, we'd be at Maverick.

We have a Large family so eating out is not always in the budget. However this was affordible, great options, fast turn over on buffet, all items warm fully cooked, very clean. Excellent salad bar. Kid friendly options.
We were glad to come across it and plan on returning.

It's one of the few left... you can order different steaks etc or purchase just the buffet.
The buffet had the usual items: salad, different hot dishes for adults & children etc. Really a good choice. As usual some better than others.
Exceptionally clean, wait staff to take away dishes, saw lot of area sitting. You order at a counter & pay there.
I'm sure their is a bar area, too.
We were passing through the area on our way home. This was nicer than fast food and more relaxing. I gave it a 4 star because some of the items were not to my liking. But a lot of local customers and probably regulars.
Also, plenty parking.

Buffet has a good selection; steaks are great! Had the liver and onions and liver was tender and tasty. Service was good and very friendly.
(Even if I was referred to as my son's grandfather!!) Beer prices are excellent.

A friend and I went here for lunch one day. The buffet was fantastic. They offer a variety of food and it all tastes great. Their prices are fair and I even had a hot chocolate. You will not be disappointed.
