Avanti's Ristorante

Loved the bread used for the sandwhiches, just like we remembered over 40yrs ago when we went to school nearby! It moved to the other side of the main thorough fare and expanded the size was the only difference I could see.

We stopped in Peoria today, where my wife had attended Bradley University over 40 years ago. She insisted we eat at Avanti's because she loved their bread when she was a student. The bread was killer - we bought two extra loaves to take home, and I had a wonderful lasagne for dinner. I love good Italian food, and I left fully satisfied.

Our server was phenomenal, she was quick, attentive, got our order correct, and refilled our drinks quickly. Our food was hot (or cold depending on what was ordered) and was brought out immediately. Great job Deborah!

Avanti’s has probably been around for 50 years their gondolas are really good I usually get extra meat.Not good for keto but the kids like them the pizza is also good spaghetti lasagna and so forth are decent no serve alcohol but a nice change of pace if you don’t feel like cooking. We love Avanti’s! I always get a gondola and dip it in their amazing ranch! There food is reasonably priced and good quality for the price. Will definitely be going back.

Stopped in for lunch while in town for an event.

Had the potato and bacon soup, which was really good!

Followed up with a chicken parmesan sandwich. The chicken was breaded just right and done to perfection. The marinara sauce was excellent. The bread toasted, and the cheese balanced it off quite well.

The service was quick, friendly, and professional in spite of a large lunch time crowd. The interior is well decorated. Will visit again.
