Lariat Steakhouse

Excellent food. Steaks were delicious. Nice atmosphere and waitress was friendly. One of my top places to eat.

A good place for a great steak. My filet was perfectly done. Before arriving, I read a review about the steaks being strongly seasoned, but what arrived was only lightly seasoned. It came wrapped in bacon - the only fat on the entire plate.
The salad was also well done (heh) and was delivered with my selection of French dressing. The dressing was rich and flavorful enough to come through the optional fresh-ground pepper. Bread was served as well, with a delicious cinnamon butter that made it almost a dessert rather than appetizer.
The sweet potato was tender and came with a serving of brown sugar. And I am so glad I listened to my waitress! She suggested putting the cinnamon butter from the bread on the potato and it mixed perfectly with the brown sugar.
And save room for dessert! The carrot cake was moist and the frosting just shy of too sweet.

Was there for our 5th anniversary last night, food was awesome, service was excellent! Prime rib was perfectly cooked, lobster tail was very tender and tasty.
A great experience again!

The Lariat Steakhouse is one of my favorites in Peoria. I like the ambiance. The service has always been great and the food excellent. We had the bacon wrapped shrimp for an appetizer, they were delicious. I had the lobster and fillet combo, lobster was very good with my fillet cooked to perfection. My girlfriend had the fried shrimp with a ravioli add on, the marinara on the ravioli was not up to the proper temp barely warm But the waitress came by moments after we received our food and asked how everything was up to our expectations. After telling her about the marinara she immediately took it and replaced it. All the staff provided excellent service.

Heard of this place from a friend and drove by it a few times so decided to give it a try. Very, very dark with piercing led bulbs directly over the table. Food was alright but not worth the price. I have no problem paying for a good steak, but this wasn't it. Staff was great, hence three stars.
