Reids' Harvest House

We have always had good experiences at Reid's and today was no exception! The food flavors, freshness and variety totally satisfied our appetites. Our server attended our needs flawlessly.

15-20 years ago, my family and child self would visit my grandmother in Chester. Every visit would include a trip to Reid’s. I can recall my parents, sister, aunts, uncles, and grandmother sitting at a long table in the back. All enjoying comfort food…. Fried chicken, catfish, and of course that good bread pudding.
Fast forward to present day. My wife and new baby girl go to pay our respects to my grandparents, may they rest in peace. Before leaving town, we stop by Reid’s for lunch. Everything is exactly like I remember it. Delicious quality southern food. Fried chicken, catfish, bread pudding, and ice cream for dessert. And the joy of sharing the experience with a new generation. I think my grandparents were at the table with us in spirit. Wonderful experience. We will be back.

Reids Harvest House is an all you can eat Smorgasbord in Chester Illinois. The food options are plentiful and are at the right temperature. The food is delightful! Yum factor 10 out of 10. The price is $$$. The customer service is very good.

Went Friday night for Seafood Buffet. Very clean tables and buffet area. Famous for it's own bread pudding and rightly so. Wide selection of food choices. Most varieties of seafood available, crab legs is additional cost, also no frog legs. Friendly staff, assigned to adequate number of tables to attend. Will definitely return.
